He was a member of the NYSP Collision Reconstruction Unit from 2009 to 2018 and has trained thousands of recruits of the NYSP Basic School in Collision Investigations. Lieutenant Davis is a 2012 recipient of the NYSP Superintendent’s Commendation Award for his actions during a critical incident stemming from a domestic dispute. While serving as a Trooper in Troop F, he was recognized by Mid-Hudson Stop DWI as Greene County’s “Top Cop” for 2008, 2009, 20. He currently serves as the Assistant Zone Commander of Zone 1, Troop D, in Marcy, New York. It is always a good idea to check your email before you leave for campus just to be sure. We will always notify you of those via our regular correspondence, as listed above. In addition, at times, we may have building issues that cause us to have to cancel. If you feel that it is not safe for you to travel to campus on a day that we are open, please stay home and look for assignments and homework in your Homeschool Connections portal. If we decide to cancel classes due to inclement weather, we will notify you via email, Remind notification, Facebook, and Instagram by 6:30 am of the day in question.Īs always, your safety is our priority. We still want to keep our families safe while traveling to and from campus so we will close if the actual air temperature during campus hours will be sustained at 12 degrees below zero or if the wind chill will be sustained at 30 below zero. We determine our own snow days. Schools close due to cold weather to keep children safe while waiting for the bus or walking to school. If the school district your campus is near is closed due only to cold weather, we may not be closed. We will be listed on the school closing and news websites, you will receive an email and Remind App notification, and the closing(s) will be posted on Facebook, and Instagram. If we determine that due to bad weather and/or bad road conditions, we should cancel classes, we will do so. If there is an emergency or safety concern, the campus will be canceled. In the case of poor weather conditions that lead to power outages, facility issues, and/or safety issues, a campus may be canceled.
